Use this for entry light. It works, it's bright enough w/o being blinding and is reliable. I have it outside, but have it mounted so it doesn't get rained on directly so that probably helps. It's easy to turn and adjust to the right angle both vertically and horizontally. I live in a pretty dark area and don't like keeping outdoor lights on all the time, so this works. Also, good for when you get home late. In a pinch, you can also just slide it off the mount to remove it and use as a work light, or take along in an emergency.Had another prior model for the same at another place also outside, but under a small overhang. Replaced the batteries in that one maybe twice over 12y.
