Im a preschool teacher and I got this to help the children sleep for nap time. They were all so mesmerized by the lights and pictutes the majority of the class fell asleep instantly! Even the ones who usually don’t take naps. It definitely helped with one of our children on the spectrum who is usually restless but he layed their mesmerized by the lights and fell asleep!my little boy loves this to be on every night. We have had it for about 9 months and it is still working great, versus another one we got that died after a month of use. The only thing that i wish I could change is the timer. I wish we could choose whether or not to use it some nights because you have to press the button for each minute...so if I want it all night, I have to press the button hundreds of times. It has lots of colors and blinks or rotates too. Very nice light.I love everything about this light show except the timer function. There’s no setting that allows you to just set it to stay on- basically you MUST set the timer. And yeah, you can set it to an obscene amount of minutes, but you have to sit there and click the button a million times to get there. I use it as a nightlight for my 3 month old (it also serves as a mobile in a way because she stares at the stars as they go by) and I really don’t want it to ever turn off and her wake up to pitch dark.The wood color is so pleasing and the stars project very nicely— I just wish there was a “stay on” function.This thing has my daughter mesmerized. She was becoming fearful of the dark and this is a great distraction for her. I like the timer because I feel lights disrupt sleep. I keep and Amber light on so if she wakes at night her room isn't pitch black, but I don't want bright stars all night. This way I can chose the time (I usually go with an hour) and it will turn off. I love the color options but usually go with just red because it's not as bright. But she loves they spinning stars! If you want stars on ceiling you have to remove the dome top fyi. It is silent.Dislikes: Soo many buttons. The on button is in the back, then you have to turn timer on then a button for color stars then one for white and one for movement. It's a bit much (but does give you options to customize so that's a perk). It came with ZERO instructions. Just start pressing buttons and hope for the best. Doesn't seem super sturdy so just be gentle. Not something your child should have access to if you want it to last.Bought it for my son after his aunt passed away because he started having nightmares when there was no light in the room. He absolutely loves it and tries to count the stars and falls asleep doing it. It is a great value for money cost and so easy to use he chooses the setting he wants and is good to goThis was great but after 3 or 4 months of having it, the spin function made too much of a noise and couldn't use it anymore. The lights work fine though. Luckily there's an option for them to twinkle and such.Our baby loves her starry night. Asks for it every evening and sometimes in the morning when she wakes up.Illumination is great and expands throughout our entire room. We sometimes forget to turn it off and fall asleep under the stars as well. It delivers an excellent relaxing atmosphere for all ages to enjoy.This item was a little bit smaller than I anticipated, but nonetheless it works very well. My 9- year- old loves it and learned how to work it pretty quickly. I like that it gives you two options for battery usage, which is using batteries or just having the cord connected to an adapter. I like that idea of it being fairly small so, if I want to take it with me on a trip for my son to use at night I like the idea that I can pack it up. My son really enjoys the different color features and that it lights up his whole room from the ceiling to the walls in his room. I am a happy momma with this product.My son loved loved loved this light and it projected stars so wonderfully on his walls and ceiling. We used it for our lunch time rest and he would look for to it. Unfortunately we used it maybe 5-8 times and it’s now broken and won’t work anymore. Had it for 2 weeks so based on that I would suggest to not purchase it and I won’t be again. Have since visited a sensory website to get a proper one and I would suggest others do the same. Not worth moneyThis puts out quite a nice light however its nothing like the highly exaggerated photoshopped images showing the entire room covered in stars!The light itself is good, love that the timer can go up to 999 min, but despite the fact that it advertises two projection films ( one star & moon and one bird & leaves) will come with the light, when it arrived, there was only one film in the box. Although the seller refunded $5 for compensation, still very disappointing.It works well. Its bright enough for my son's medium sized room. The only down side would be that to set the timer you have to press the button over and over. It only goes up in 5min intervals so if you want it on for 8hrs you have to press the button alot. For what you pay its good.Okay, so I bought this light for my partners son but tried it out myself, it is very versatile and simple, it's gorgeous and so calming to me, a 32 year old woman.I would recommend this to anyone feeling a little stressed
