We needed a light for our dining room gaming table as the room had none. The electricians had an easy time installing this and it responds just fine to the light switches, however sometimes it doesn't come on right. Occasionally it'll flicker on for a half second, then go off again. Hitting the switch a second time always seems to work. 9/10 it saves the settings used with the remote, but occasionally it'll reset to a different light setting. Easy enough to fix and not a huge deal, just don't lose the remote. It gives off great light for gaming, though, and it's been a great improvement for our DnD nights.We ended up sending this back because it barely lit up our 10x15ft kitchen area. For reference, we were trying to replace the light of 4x 48in fluorescent tubes - about 7000 lumens. We really liked the aesthetic of this fixture, but it fell way short in terms of brightness - even at full power.Looks good.When you install it the plate doesn't attach all way to the ceiling.(I installed 3 of them and all the same)Also if you using all switch it changes color tempreture after you turn off and on again. It's annoying.Other then that. Not badWe put the fixture over the kitchen island. Not only does it look lovely, but it provides a great bright light to work under. The fact that it dims and can change 'mood' from warm to cold is an added plus! I'm thinking of where I can put another one.Looks very good but 2 frustrating things are the mount is weak and the remote settings can change the temperature to match your other lights but doesn't save the settings when you turn the light offLight is excellent and adjustable’ works well for table work such as puzzles etc. night light feature is a bonus.Instructions for adjusting the cables for hanging would be a plus (not included or clear on how to do) and instructions for remote control are very difficult to understand. It would be best for manufacturer to have someone who uses English as a first language to write them so that most of the rest of the world would be able to understand them.Mounting is sub par. Mounting plate too weak to hold weight, all parts loose in mounting tray. Mouning tray does no cover standard 4” octagonal electric box, thus a cover plate is needed to cover that hole.It is modern but looks luxurious. I was very pleased with this light. It is easy to install and flexible to adjust the height. I initially wanted to install it above the tub, but now put it at my small meeting room since it is bright enough to cover the table. Remote control of brightness and color allows me to set comfortable meeting environment. Even when the light is off, it is still beautiful and almost like a work of art that hangs. I highly recommend if you are going to a modern look. The design is widely applicable, not only for dining room, study room, foyer, even looks romantic for washroom.It is an unforgettable purchasing experience at Amazon.
